Josephine (Orlando) McDermott was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She died on June 20th, 2024 at age 95 in Hopewell Junction, NY. Josephine was born in New York City on March 13th, 1929. Josephine married her first husband Pasquale Joseph Orlando on April 16th, 1950 and had four children. After he passed, Josephine was blessed to meet Eugene McDermott who she married on April 20th, 2002. Together they shared a wonderful life in their love for God and their Catholic Faith until Eugene passed in 2022.

Josephine was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lucia and Rosario Citra, her sister; Antonina Filogomo and her brother; Salvatore Citra.

Josephine is survived by her children; Vincent (Cathy) Orlando, Gerard Orlando, Patricia (David) Beska, Paul (Patricia) Orlando, her Grandchildren; Paul (Diana) Orlando, David Beska Jr., Andrew (Rachel) Beska, Michael (Caitlin) Orlando, Michelle (Cody) Brocksopp, Danielle (David) Costable, and her great grandchildren; Nicole, Michael, Giuliana, Ava, Emma, Jacob, Benjamin, Hunter, Carmella, Ronan, Delaney, and Rory.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 25, 2024 from 6-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday June 26, 2024 at 11am at Immaculate Conception Church 26 John St. Stony Point, NY, followed by burial at Ascension Cemetery 650 Saddle River Road Airmont, NY.
