HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Josephine M. Rango, 85, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1964 and formerly of the Bronx, died on Friday, August 1, 2014 after a long illness, at her home with her family by her side.
Born in New York City on January 14, 1929, she was the last surving sibling of 12 children born to Domenico and Rosairo Placco
On October 4, 1952 in the Bronx, Josephine married Carmine Sonny Rango who predeceased her in March 2000.She is survived by her children, Lucille Rango Gibson of Fishkill, Donna and Steve Polan of Hopewell Junction, Carmine Jr.and Jennifer Rango of Valatie NY, Keith and Wendy Rango of Hopewell Junction, and her grandchildren Nikolaus and Alexa Rango.
Jospephine was baptized on September 19, 1970 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She faithfully attended the Hopewell Junction congregation for over 40 years. Her faith in the Bible's promises for the future comforted her during her illness.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The family would like to invite all to a memorial service for Josephine, to be held on Saturday August 9, 2014 at 11:00AM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 383 All Angels Hill Road in Hopewell Junction, NY.
