Josephine Sicurella, 91, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 31 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the Kings Harbor Multicare Center in the Bronx.

Born in Italy on May 6, 1918, she was the daughter of Peter and Frances Farraggia Pizzuco.  She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction and a member of the East Fishkill Seniors.

On September 3, 1943 in the Bronx, Josephine married Liborio Sicurella who predeceased her on January 4, 2008.  She is survived by her sons, Paul Sicurella and his wife Teresa of Port Chester and Anthony Sicurella of Hopewell Junction; her granddaughters, Gina Flusser and her husband David, Kim Barnes and her husband Todd and Sheri Sicurella; and her great-grandsons, Casey and Cooper Flusser.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
