LAGRANGEVILLE – Josephine Tossini, 75, an area resident for 6 years, passed away on February 16, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. She previously lived in the Bronx.

Born on September 18, 1947 in the Bronx, Josephine was the daughter of the late Antonio and Philomena (DelGrosso) Piacquadio. On May 28, 1972 at Holy Cross Church in the Bronx, Josephine married Louis Tossini who predeceased her on March 9, 2017. Josephine retired as an EKG Technician from Westchester Square Hospital in the Bronx after 40 years of service.

Josephine is survived by her daughters, Lisa Tossini of LaGrangeville and Christine Tossini and her wife Jessica Adorno of Trumbull, CT; her grandchildren, Chloe, Lorenzo, Olivia, and Gabriel; her sister, Ann Viebrock and her husband Ernie; and several nieces and nephews.

Josephine was a parishioner at St. Clare of Assisi Church in the Bronx. She will be remembered as a caretaker to all especially her family. Josephine, a comedian, was always the life of the party. A close family friends recently told her family that "Heaven just got a little wilder!"

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 11 am St. Clare of Assisi Church in the Bronx followed by burial at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
