HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Joyce A. Heagney, 75, a lifelong area resident, died on July 21, 2018 at her home.

Born in Poughkeepsie on February 5, 1943, she was the daughter of Alfred and Carolyn (Ackert) Rozelle. Joyce had been employed as a waitress in Wappingers Falls for 33 years. She was a member of the Verbank United Methodist Church, and of Al-Anon and and Nar-Anon. Joyce loved spending time with her family and friends.

On July 18, 2009 at the Verbank United Methodist Church, Joyce married David Heagney. Survivors include her husband, David and his family; her children, Michael Fern, Dave Kosakowski, and Leonard Kosakowski and his wife Jennifer; her siblings, Cynthia Pfluger, Alfred and Maria Rozelle, and Gordon Rozelle; her 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, John Fern.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, at 2pm at the Verbank United Methodist Church, 8 North Clove Road, Verbank. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., Hopewell Junction.
