Joyce A. Rescigno, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on September 13, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 24, 1944 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Soncarato) Ferrante. Joyce had been employed as an accountant with David Levine in Carmel. For the past seven years, Joyce called Poughkeepsie her home, previously residing in Carmel. She was a devoted member of St. James the Apostle Church in Carmel and later embraced the community at St. Martin de Porres Church in Poughkeepsie. She also participated in both the Columbiettes and the Rosary Society.

Joyce's life was a testament to love, faith and family. She will always be remembered for her deep love for her family and her cherished role as a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and through them, she discovered a love for sports, fostering connections that will be dearly missed.

On November 16, 1968 in the Bronx, Joyce married the love of her life, Richard Rescigno, who predeceased her in 2004. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Richard and Maria Rescigno, and Michael and Kerri Rescigno; her grandchildren, Sarah, Juliana, Michael and Sophia; her brother, Victor Ferrante and his wife Paula; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her brother Charles Ferrante and his wife, Laura.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 9:30am at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie. Private interment will be in St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
