EAST FISHKILL – Joyce Sforza, 79, an area resident since 1972 and formerly of the Bronx, peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday June 26, 2024, with her family by her side.
Born in the Bronx on December 10, 1944, she was the daughter of John and Ann (Rosati) Tussie. Joyce was employed as a librarian for the Wappingers Central School District. She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church. Joyce loved to cook and there was no one better at it than she was. She loved to feed everyone, and everyone loved eating everything she ever made. But more than anything, she loved being with her family. Everyone who knew her loved her because of her kindness, joy, and love she gave to everyone she knew. She had a heart of gold and there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for anyone she loved. She dedicated her entire life to taking care of her family because that's what brought her the most happiness. There are no words to describe how much she will be missed and how much she is loved.
On February 6, 1965 at Immaculate Conception Church in the Bronx, Joyce married William A. Sforza who survives at home. She is also survived by her children, Lisa Connolly and husband Ben, Billy Sforza and wife Lissette, and Christy Sforza; and her granddaughter, Cassie Sforza. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Tussie.
