Anthony Martinez, 56, of Pleasant Valley, NY, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born in the Bronx, NY, on November 26, 1968, he was the son of the late Amado Martinez and Maria Isabel (Osorio) Martinez.

Anthony dedicated over 30 years of service as an Operating Engineer for the New York City Board of Education. On February 14, 2014, he married the love of his life, Jessica (Olivero) Martinez, and together they built a home filled with love and laughter. In 2016, they moved to Pleasant Valley after many years in the Bronx, where Anthony was raised and educated.

A devoted man of faith, Anthony was a member of Valley Christian Church in Hopewell Junction, as well as Rock of Salvation and New Life Outreach International Church in the Bronx. He loved his Lord, his family, and his community.

Anthony was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed playing as an outfielder in a men's softball league. A true jack-of-all-trades, he was known for his handiness, his humor and energy. Anthony's gift for making people laugh and his boundless spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica; his mother, Maria Isabel; his children: Anthony Martinez Jr. (Ashley), Joshua Martinez, Kimberly Martinez (Jasmine Feliciano), Katelyn DeChant (Devin), Xavier Martinez, Leila Martinez, Logan Martinez, William Ortiz, and Jaren Ortiz; and his grandchildren, Adeline Rose Martinez, Jett Feliciano, and two little blessings soon to arrive. He also leaves behind his siblings: Aida Virola (Jimmy), Amado Martinez (Linda Nazario), Miguel Martinez, Noemi Intragio, Ruth Colon, Joel Martinez (Gabriella), Gabriel Martinez (Erica), and Migdalia Martinez (Jose Dumey), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends. In addition to his father, Amado, he was predeceased by other loved ones who welcomed him into eternal rest.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. A funeral service will follow on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
