VERBANK - Juan Nieves, 68, died on March 27, 2025 at the Hudson Valley Hospice House.

Born on December 2, 1956 in Manhattan, Juan was the son of the late Ramon and Maria (Rios) Nieves. He was employed by LTA until his retirement.

Juan was a handyman who was always willing to help others, and he liked to fix computers. He will be remembered by everyone who knew him as a jokester and was very laid back. More than anything, he loved taking care of his family.

Juan is survived by his wife, Janet (Casiano) Nieves; his children, Hector Bonilla, Tanya Garcia, and Liza Bonilla; his grandchildren, Hector Bonilla III, Noah Bonilla, Damian Garcia, Isabelle Garcia, Arianna Ramos, Ava Ramos, and Christina Nieves; his great-granddaughter, Mila Garcia; his siblings, Efraim Nieves, Daniel Nieves, David Nieves, Sammy Nieves, and Maria Hernandez; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Juan was also predeceased by his son, Juan F. Nieves; and his brother, Israel Nieves.

Calling hours will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Saturday, April 5th from 1 - 4 pm with a service beginning at 3:45 pm.
