EAST FISHKILL – Juana B. Conyngham, 88, died peacefully at her daughter's home on September 10, 2023.
Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico on March 8, 1935, she was the daughter of Justo Lozano and Maria Lopez. Juana was a Registered Nurse and served as the Associate Executive Director of HAC in Manhattan. She had been a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction where she served on the Right to Life and Elizabeth Ministries. She was also a member of the Columbiettes of St. Mary's Council, Knights of Columbus.
Juana was predeceased by her first husband, Roberto Berrios, and her second husband, Joseph B. Conyngham. Juana is survived by her daughters, Janet Torres (Lou Dina), Roberta Solazzo (Redik), and Aileen Stone (Kenneth); her grandchildren, Crystal Ann, Robert (predeceased), Megan and Christopher; her great-grandchildren, Aubree and Emmett, and her siblings, Carmen Maria, Hector, Luz and predeceased by siblings Amaury and Haydee.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5- 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
