FISHKILL - Judith Ann Williams, 82, a lifelong area resident, passed away on January 21, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Beacon on September 15, 1941, Judith was the daughter of the late Julius and Esther (Kormondy) Lawrence. She began her career working at Flowers by Reni in Fishkill. She was then employed by the Town of Fishkill Water Department for over 20 years until her retirement.
Judith was very involved with the Fishkill community, and will be greatly missed. She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Fishkill where she taught Sunday School. She was a member of the Fishkill Republican Committee, and served as their Treasurer for over 17 years. Judith was also an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Protection Engine #1.
On April 1, 1961 at the First Presbyterian Church in Beacon, Judith married Donald F. Williams, Sr. who survives at home after 63 years of marriage. She is also survived by her children, Lynn Minard and her husband Steven of Wappingers Falls, Donald Williams, Jr. and Laura of Beacon, and Christopher Williams and his wife Kristin of Victor; her grandchildren, Steven Minard, Kelsie Minard, Victoria "Tori" Williams, CJ Williams, Connor Williams, CJ Hunter, and Garrett Hunter; her brother, Richard P. Lawrence and his wife Kathy; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 am followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
