Obituary

FISHKILL- Julie Falcone, 72, died on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 after a long but courageous battle with cancer at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital surrounded by her family. A resident of Fishkill since 2005 and formerly of Hopewell Junction since 1968, she grew up in the Bronx and Manhattan.

Born in New York City on November 12, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Elin (Anderson) Carlson. On April 12, 1959 in Yonkers, she married Louis Falcone who predeceased her on April 25, 2003.

Julie had been employed as the bookkeeper for Hopewell Auto Parts for over 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, made the best homemade pasta and meatballs and was a master at doing puzzles, but loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren more than anything.

She is survived by her loving children, John Falcone and his wife Anne of New Fairfield, CT, Lezia Bagnato and her husband Mickey of Mahopac, Vince Falcone and his wife Trazanda of White Plains, and Donna Erickson and her husband Jim of Pleasant Valley; her devoted grandchildren who referred to her as Gma, Louis and Katie Falcone, Mickey and Madison Bagnato, Julianne and Lars Erickson, and Vivianna Falcone; her brothers, Roy Carlson and his wife Terry, Ralph Carlson and his wife Teresa, and Karl Carlson and his wife Janet; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Lillian Morales, Vivian Carlson, and Richard Carlson.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
