WAPPINGERS FALLS – June E. Billerth, 92, an area resident since 2017, died at home on May 30, 2022. She previously lived in Ridgewood, Queens.
Born in Queens on May 27, 1930, June was the daughter of the late Thomas and Edith (Brown) Ackerson. She worked at Royal Insurance in Manhattan for 12 years and then went to work for Hertler Plumbing in Glendale, NY as a receptionist/secretary until she retired.
She had been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Glendale, Queens. June enjoyed sewing and doing needlepoint. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
June is survived by her children, Michael James Billerth, Stephan Bernard Billerth and his wife Fran, Nancy Anne Halsey and her husband Mark, and Patricia Anne Desmond and her husband Matt; her grandchildren, Melanie and Chris Marsh, Christopher Scott Billerth, David John Billerth, and Zachary Halsey; and her great-grandchildren, Elise Marsh and Ewan Marsh.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Bernard J. Billerth in 2000; her daughter, Karen Patricia Henrahan; and her grandson, Michael James Billerth, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 – 4 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction with a funeral service beginning at 3:30 pm.
