Katherine L. Morrison, 65, a resident of Fishkill for 8 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Christmas Day at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manhattan on November 10, 1949, she was the daughter of George and Frances Kessler Cook. Katherine enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting, crocheting, and painting, but more than anything she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Katherine is survived by her children, Linda Cancel and her husband Joe of Fishkill, Christopher Morrison of Beacon, Kimberly Morrison and her husband Michael Caban of Beacon, Ellen Neal and her husband Tom of Wappingers Falls, Jennifer Morrison of Beacon and Joseph Morrison of Beacon; her sister, Frances Cook of Beacon, her grandchildren, Ryan, Amanda, Miguel, Lindsey and Devone, Amber, Michael, Autumn, Ariah, Alliance and Jessica; her great-grandchildren, Sophia and Joseph; and several nieces and nephews. She was looking forward to the birth of her great-grandson, Orian, in April. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Walls.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm and Tuesday from 2-4pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill.
