Kathleen (Kaye) Elizabeth Hanlon left us on October 5, 2016 and now has a spot in heaven. She is reunited with her husband of over 50 years, John Hanlon, and her son, John Jr., who predeceased her. She leaves behind her son Howard Hanlon and his wife Barbara of Mooresville, NC; two daughters, Jackie Hanlon of Fayetteville, NC, and Beth Hanlon of Nantucket, MA. She also leaves her granddaughter, Heather Harmon and husband, Chris and her great grandson, Nolan, of Mooresville, NC; her grandsons Michael Hanlon of Mooresville, NC, and Edward Hanlon of Chattanooga, TN. Although there are so many people in her life that were special, Diane Ford and Katie Ford have, and always will be, her daughter and granddaughter, and like a sister and niece to the family. Jamie Kidder has always been her special boy. We would never be able to list all the lives that Kaye has touched or the people that have touched her. To all her friends, thank you for everything you have done. You have a special place in our hearts. At her request, there will be no service at this time. She will be cremated, and a small gathering of family will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Homestead, 115 Main St., Nantucket, MA 02554. A special thank you to Hudson Valley Hospice, the Pines at Poughkeepsie Nursing Home, and all her doctors, nurses and staff at Health Quest, The Heart Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center. The kindness and caring shown to her and our family has been truly appreciated. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home.
