WAPPINGERS FALLS – Kathleen Walsh Haw, a Wappingers Falls resident since 2001, formerly of Eatontown, NJ and Rockland County died at home on Saturday, July 2, 2011 surrounded by her family and friends. She was 41.
Born in Suffern on February 12, 1970, Kathleen was a 1988 graduate of North Rockland High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1990. Stationed in San Diego, she served in the Armed Forces during the Gulf War and was honorably discharged in 1998. She also graduated from Chubb Institute and was employed by Metro North Railroad for several years as a computer programmer. Kathleen was also a member of Harvest Time Church in Greenwich, CT.
On May 20, 2000, Kathleen married James M. Haw in New Jersey. Soon after, she became devoted & loving mother of three children.
She is survived by her husband, Jim and three young children, James (8), Edward (7), and Elizabeth (5); her parents, Pat & Terri (Thornby) Walsh of Saugerties; and her siblings, Theresa Walsh & Arnold Miranda of Saugerties, Patrick Walsh of Glasco, and Tara & Damon Brecheen of Groton, CT. Kathleen will be missed by many loving relatives and wonderful friends including her nieces & nephews who loved her and her thoughtful ways to make each one feel uniquely special, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Above all else, Kathleen cherished every moment of being a devoted mother and dedicated her life to James, Edward, and Elizabeth.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 am at Faith Assembly of God, 254 Spackenkill Road, Poughkeepsie. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Saugerties.
