Kathleen R. Lauro, a 20-year resident of Fishkill, formerly of Mahopac, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at White Plains in Hospital. She was 83.

Daughter of the late Francis and Anne (Kane) McNamara, she was born in Brooklyn on March 7, 1942. For more than 20 years, Kathleen worked in the human resources department at Union Carbide in Danbury, CT prior to her retirement.

She enjoyed taking walks, gardening, and belonged to her development's women's club.

On October 16, 1965, she married Peter R. Lauro at St. Rose of Lima Church in Brooklyn, NY. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband in 2007.

Survivors include her son, Robert Lauro of Newburgh; her son, Christopher Lauro & his wife Michele of Lagrangeville; her grandchildren, Allison Lauro and Joseph Lauro; her siblings, Anne, Rose, Mary, Pat, and Eileen; as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless other loving family members.

In addition to her husband and parents, Kathleen was also predeceased by two brothers, John and Francis.

Calling hours will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Thursday, March 12 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30pm.
