HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Kathleen L. Marrero, aged 66, a long-time resident of Hopewell Junction, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on July 17, 2025.

She was born on December 5, 1958, in New Rochelle, NY to parents Anne T. (Mulligan) and Angelo J. Esposito, Jr. Kathleen graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School and completed the BOCES Cosmetology Program.

Kathleen and Carlos O. Marrero , Jr. were married at St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction on August 25, 1979. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Carlos, her son Christopher and his husband Michael Stuart as well as her daughter, Ana Marrero. She also leaves behind her beloved grandsons, Anthony, Aiden, and Mason Laino -affectionately known as her "Laino Boys". Additionally, she is survived by her siblings and their spouses: Joyce and Harry DeCarlo, Helen and Joseph Barner, Diane and Scott McDonald, David and Gladys Esposito, and Gary and Lauren Esposito; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who cherished her family deeply.

Kathleen was predeceased by her daughters, Lauren Dellaportas and Meagan Laino ; her son-in-law, Anthony Laino ; and her brother, Mark Esposito.

Kathleen will be remembered for her profound kindness and generosity. She was creative, had a good sense of humor, and was always willing to help those in need. Her deep devotion to the Blessed Mother was evident in her commitment to praying for her loved ones and others. Known for her patience and compassion, many sought her guidance and advice. Kathleen's remarkable ability to light up any room will be deeply missed.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 21st from 6 - 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, July 22nd at 10 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery.
