Kathryn Mary Harrison, a resident of Fishkill since 2014, and previously of Long Island, died at home on July 25, 2023. She was 73.

Kathryn was born on May 14, 1950, in Bergenfield, New Jersey, to the late Thomas and Margaret (O'Grady) Gilligan. She went on to earn her master's degree, and became the Community Relations Coordinator for Barnes and Noble. She truly enjoyed working with people and helping authors of all types to get their works out to the public.

She married John Harrison in 2006 and enjoyed 6 wonderful years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2012.

Kathryn was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, an avid reader, but above all, her passion was her children and grandchildren. She loved spending as much time as she could with each of them, and showing them her unconditional love and support.

She leaves behind her son, Vyn Raskopf, and his wife, Nicole; her son, Will Raskopf and his wife, Melissa Rayhill, MD; her grandchildren, Julia, Finn and Zoe Raskopf; brother, Tom Gilligan and his wife, Gig; her sister, Peggy Gilligan and her partner, Peter Challan; her sister, Eileen Ferguson and her husband, Walter; her niece, Tara Gilligan, her husband, Jeremy Hylton and their daughters, Claire, Helen, and Gracie; and her niece, Heather Gilligan, her husband, Alan Better, and their daughter, Gretchen.

Calling hours will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82 in Hopewell Junction, New York on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 3pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St Mary, Mother of the Church on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 10:30 am, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, New York.
