Kathryn J. Higgins, 60, a lifelong area resident, died on September 29, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, ending her fearless journey with breast cancer.
Born in Mount Kisco on May 16, 1958, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Farrell) Dingee. She loved music and was always known for her positive loving attitude. She was an inspiration and a source of strength to everyone who knew her. Kate was deeply involved in her large extended family and loved spending time with each and every one of them.
Kate is survived by her husband George M. Higgins; her children, Lindsay, Kelsey and Nolan Zambraski, and their father Thomas Zambraski; her mother, Mary Dingee, and siblings, Kenneth Dingee, Sharyn Faranda, Sophiezane Bartlett, and Matthew Denning; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11am at Trinity United Methodist Church in LaGrangeville.
