Kathryn "Kathy" Nordone, 94, née Cirincione, longtime resident of Poughkeepsie, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Kathy was born in Corona, Queens and grew up in the Bronx. She was a graduate of St. Barnabas High School in Yonkers, New York and attended Delahanty Institute on scholarship. After graduating, she was employed in the actuarial department at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in New York City for seven years.

She married the love of her life Anthony "Tony" Nordone on January 16, 1954 at St. Francis of Rome Church in the Bronx. They lived in Ossining, New York where they raised their six children. Tony predeceased Kathy on April 10, 1982, after 28 years of marriage.

Kathy was previously a parishioner of St. Augustine Church in Ossining where she was a Columbiette, but more recently attended Saint Mary, our Lady of the Falls Church in Wappingers Falls.

As her children grew older, she was employed in various positions including Ossining High School health office for three years, then held accounting positions at Combined Book Exhibit, Pergamon Press, and Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers in Westchester County. She was the Bursar at Westchester Community College, retiring after 16 years in that position.

Kathy enjoyed playing tennis, bowling, knitting and was an avid reader. She was a member of Club 60 in Poughkeepsie and the Senior Club at Saint Martin de Porres parish, where she enjoyed many happy times with her wonderful friends.

She was so proud of and devoted to her beloved family.

Survivors include her daughters Susan Rothdeutsch and her husband Joseph, Deborah Nordone, Donna Consaga and her husband Christopher, Gina Sullivan, Lori Nordone, and her son Anthony and his wife Sushila; her beloved grandchildren Cayla (Consaga) Dennis and her husband Jason, Melissa Consaga, Anthony Rothdeutsch, Ryan Wilson and his wife Jessie, Kathryn Nordone, Sarah (Consaga) DelBiondo and her husband Brendan,Lauren (Wilson) Napuck and her husband Alex, Daniel Rothdeutsch, Hannah Sullivan, Alex Nordone, Gregory Whelan, and Lucas Nordone; great- grandsons Jacob and Hunter, sister-in-law Nancy Cirincione, cousin Agnes Duncan, and many nieces nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her sister Diana O'Connor, brother-in-law Daniel O'Connor, her brother Andrew Cirincione, her sister-in-law Carmella Evans, and her granddaughter Emily Sullivan.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 1 PM to 4 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main St., Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 10 AM at Saint Mary, Our Lady of the Falls Church, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls, NY. Burial will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
