Obituary

My name is Kaitryanna Kabashi . I am the oldest sibling, and the only sister of Kayden Kabashi.

I am writing this obituary on behalf of my family, my mother Joanne Kabashi , my father Muhamet Kabashi, and my other 2 brothers, Kadrion Kabashi and Kaylim Kabashi.

It is with unspeakably heavy souls, broken hearts, and shattered minds, that we announce the sudden passing of our brother/son, Kayden Kabashi, who passed away on Friday May 1st, at 10: 49am , EST. He passed away in Room 310 of the ICU, at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York.

This past monday , April 27th, Kayden had left the house on his motorcycle to head to work. He never made it to work, after being hit head on by a negligent driver in a car who drove into his lane, as he was riding his motorcycle to work. He was brain dead on scene, and died a few days later in the hospital due to being fully brain dead and suffering a hemorrhagic stroke after his head took the direct impact with the car, along with 7 fractures to the skull, and other life threatening injuries.

Kayden Kabashi was born on April 19th of 2007 at Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor, New york .

He has lived with his parents and siblings for his entire life, first in Poughquag, New York, until August of 2018, and then in Lagrangeville, New York, when we moved to our new house a few minutes down the road from our old one, and has lived in Lagrangeville with his parents
and siblings right up until his sudden, tragic passing.

Kayden is 1 of 4 siblings, me being the oldest and only sister, and is the middle brother of 3 brothers. He is survived by me, his sister Kaitryanna Kabashi, 25 years old, his oldest brother Kadrion Kabashi, 21 years old, and his youngest brother Kaylim Kabashi, 17 years old. He is also survived by his mother, Joanne Kabashi, 50 years old, and his father Muhamet Kabashi, 56 years old.

Kayden is a free spirit, a raw and real person and human. He is uniquely himself, and unlike no other. He is a breath of fresh air, so hard and so soft at the same time, authentic and true, in a world that is anything but so. His closest friends and many members of the community know him as KD. Kayden has referred to himself as KD for many years now.

Growing up, Kayden has always been the comical, silly, loud, and free flowing sibling and member of our family household. He speaks freely, truthfully, and does not hold back in any way.

At our old house, we had a stream that ran through our property, and he would consistently run around outside, butt naked, and come back from the stream covered head to toe to eyelids with mud, being his little wild, mud monster self. He also always loved being commando, which reflects the truest nature of his free spirit and wild, silly self.

Kayden has lived with a passion for all things bikes since he was a very young child. He passed away while doing what he loved, riding his bike. He loves being outside, being dirty, and passed away with dirt and grease still under his fingernails, the way it always has been since he has been a child.

He is highly skilled and incredibly smart in a plethora of ways. He would take bikes apart and re-build them from scratch all on his own, along with taking it upon himself to experiment and to take care of a variety of projects and hobbies around our house, and for/with his friends.

Kayden loves spanish music, rap music, techno, and a variety of other music and art. He is highly talented at writing and art, just like his sister. We are the two artsy/creative ones in our household, the male and female versions of one another. I know he is incredibly happy and thankful that I am the one writing this, as he knows it is in good hands. Kayden's favourite candy is skittles and snickers, and we will know he is with us everytime we see a rainbow in the sky.

We have a good chunk of our family residing in Europe, mainly Kosovo, the place that Kayden feels the most peace, joy, and content. He planned to move to Europe this coming summer with his family, and to join a lot of his extended family and close cousins over there. Kayden spent 2 months last summer of 2025 in Europe, surprising our parents there, and joining them on the vacation of a lifetime. He went cliff jumping, went on the mountains and enjoyed the immaculate views, partied at the clubs and bars with his cousins, and soaked up the sun and tranquility at the shore with crystal clear blue waters at the beaches in Albania. He soaked up every possible moment of laughs, smiles, jokes, fun times, and serenity, all in one.

We love you and will love you with all of our hearts and souls, and every fragment of our beings and existences, in every lifetime. I will always be your sister. You will always be my brother. It will always be the 4 of us siblings. Mom and dad will always be your parents,
and your brothers will always be your brothers.

Our sweet, kind, funny, strong, warm, loving, baby brother and son, our loved one, our friend, our member of the community, our Kayden . We love you truly, we miss you dearly, and a piece of us is forever missing now.

We hope you exhale, we hope you are warm and safe, and we hope you are in absolute paradise and peace.

In peace may you leave the shore, with love may you find the next.

Sleep well our beautiful, sweet boy Kayden .
Rest in peace and paradise.

Long live Kayden , Long Live KD, Forever 19.
