WAPPINGERS FALLS – Keith L. Castell, 85, an area resident for 48 years, died on July 21, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Cape Vincent, NY on December 12, 1931, he was the son of Allen John Castell and Beulah Cosbey Castell. Keith proudly served our country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed as a Customer Engineer at IBM in Watson, Syracuse and East Fishkill. He had also worked for WTBN in Fishkill, and owned and operated KLC Security.

Keith was a member of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Association, and volunteered at Castle Point VAMC.

On January 18, 1969 in Saratoga Springs, Keith married Eileen Kmen who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Katie Castell of Poughkeepsie, Brian Castell of Wappingers Falls, and Jonathan Castell of Middletown; his siblings, John Castell and his wife Angie of Cleveland, OH, and Ella Castell and Joe Kulik of Beacon; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Church.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 11am-1pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be at 1pm followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
