Keith Andrew Tompkins, 19, a lifelong area resident, died on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
Born in Poughkeepsie on April 30, 1993, he was the son of Kevin and Karen Bobletz Tompkins. Keith graduated from Arlington High School in 2011 where he had played on the football team. He was currently attending Dutchess Community College and was employed by Shop Rite in Poughkeepsie. An outdoorsman, he was an avid fisherman, hunter and hiker and loved his truck and country music. He also was a participant in "Team Wishing You Well" for Relay for Life.
In addition to his parents, Keith is survived by his brother, Kyle; his grandmother, Patricia Bobletz of South Salem; his grandfather, Delbert Tompkins of Peekskill; his aunts and uncle, Linda Bobletz of Endicott, Brian and Nancy Tompkins of Montgomery, Adele Linkowski of Hopewell Junction; and several cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10am at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Mast officiating.
