Kenneth Patrick Heady, Sr., of Mooresville, NC and formerly a longtime resident of Hopewell Junction, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011.

Born January 9, 1962 in Cold Spring, he was a son of Kenneth C. and Gail Heady of Hopewell Junction. Ken's birth mother, Peggy Phillips, resides in Pennsylvania. Ken was a self-employed mason. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, gardening, animals and listening to country music. He was also an avid NY Mets fan and former member of the Whortlekill Rod and Gun Club. He was very devoted to his family.

In addition to his parents, Ken is survived by his wife, Lori Lown Heady; children, Kenneth P. Heady, Jr. and Cheyanne Marie Heady, both of Mooresville; brothers and sisters, Kelly Heady of Beacon, Kim Kuehner of Fishkill, Keith Heady of Hopewell Junction, Kendra Zukowski of Beacon, Darren, Peggy Ann and Paige.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12 pm at the funeral home followed by a reception at Whortlekill Rod and Gun Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lori Heady, 125 Julius Lane, Mooresville, NC 28117.
