Obituary

Kenneth Anthony Trimble, Jr., a lifelong resident of Cold Spring, died at Hudson Valley Hospital Center on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 following a courageous 15 month battle with cancer. He was 54.
Kenny was born at Butterfield Hospital in Cold Spring on February 8, 1960 and attended Haldane High School. In 1977, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served at bases in Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He was honorably discharged from service in 1983.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Sabatini Builders in Hopewell Junction and continued to work up until his illness wouldn't allow him to continue.
An active outdoorsman, Kenny loved the natural beauty of the Hudson River Valley, and he enjoyed fishing, boating, landscaping, and gardening. He was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth A. Trimble III; his parents, Kenneth A. & Shirley M. (Niver) Trimble; his sister, Cindy M. Trimble; his nephew, R.J. Trimble-Edwards along with several other nieces & nephews; many loving cousins; his aunts & uncles, Edward & Marianne Trimble, Francis & Dolores Moran, Barbara & Victor Chain, Linda & Thomas Russell, Peggy Merandy, Pierre Travis, and Frank Righetti; and his former wife and friend, Patricia McGrath.
Kenny was predeceased by many aunts & uncles: Marion & Ralph Franchini, Genevieve & Joseph Komisar, Roland Merandy, Robert & Evelyn Trimble, Dolores & Richard Doxsey, Catherine & Howard Doxsey, Loretta Travis, Harold & Linda Niver, and Patricia Righetti.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 25 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 26 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and medical staff that helped Kenny throughout his illness, especially Dr. Asim Aijaz, Dr. Christian K. Piccolo, Dr. Mesbaheddin Balaghi, and Penny Lou Lyons from Hospice. Your kindness and dedication to his care is gratefully appreciated.
