Kevin
Brown
December 21, 1967 – July 28, 2025
With heavy hearts we say goodbye to Kevin Mark "Uncle Bucky" Brown of Stanfordville , NY. He passed peacefully in his home.
Predeceased by his father, he was the son of John and Marie Brown and born on December 21, 1967 alongside his twin sister, Katherin.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Marie Brown; brothers Willie Brown (Doreen), Mike Brown, and Jerry Brown; and his sister Katherin "Missy" Pitcher (Greg); and his daughter, Tayler (Luis Escobar), and his grandson, Hudson. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Kevin was a proud, protective, and adoring uncle. One of his greatest joys was watching his family grow.
Kevin contributed to local communities by serving as fire chief of the Stanfordville Fire Company for many years and volunteered for the Pine Plains Fire Company. He had volunteered cooking alongside his Uncle Bob for United Church of Christ dinners. Kevin loved to play softball alongside his brother, Jerry, and his friends for many years playing locally for Strang's and the Stanfordville Fire Company team. After his retirement from playing, he still enjoyed watching games on Thursday nights. Kevin was an avid hunter sharing stories, pictures from his cameras, and always excited for his annual trip to Illinois with his closest friends and family members.
Kevin could be counted on for delicious meals and being present for family events. He was a beloved friend to many and could always be counted on to have a quick chat to anyone he knew.
A memorial service will take place at the United Church of Christ in Stanfordville, NY on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 1:00. A Celebration of Life luncheon will take place directly after at the Stanfordville Fire House.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Stanfordville Fire Company or the Pine Plains Fire Company.
In his honor, his family asks for you to hug your loved ones just a little longer, say I love you a little louder, and call a family/friend to say hello.
