Kevin M. Hicks, 76, passed away on September 13, 2026, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Born on October 29, 1949, he grew up in Whitestone Queens, NY and was the son of the late John and Mabel Hicks. Kevin dedicated over four decades of his career as an impressive, respected CPA and as the Chief Financial Officer at The New York Bankers Association for 32 years, earning admiration for his professionalism and integrity in the banking industry. After he retired in 2016, he and wife Judy moved from Bronxville, NY to Hopewell Junction, NY, where he enjoyed the beauty and splendor of living in the country.

Known for his intelligence, kindness, humor, and genuine spirit, Kevin was a man of great character who embraced simplicity. He found joy in the comfort of home, often lost in the pages of a good book. A passionate history buff, he had a particular fondness for literature centered around the Kennedy family and political landscapes. His resourcefulness knew no bounds, as he possessed an incredible knack for fixing almost anything. Home-cooked meals from his wife, Judy, brought him immense happiness, as did his love for classic cars, golf, loyal dogs, the New York Yankees, and the thrill of finding a great bargain.

On October 2, 1994, in Dobbs Ferry, NY, Kevin married his great love and soulmate, Judy Savage ( Hicks) who survives at their home in Hopewell Junction. He is also survived by his beautiful, cherished children, Jennifer Hicks Johnston and her husband Anthony, Karolyn Hicks, and Jason Hicks and his wife Kristen; his amazing grandchildren, Matthew, Thomas, Lauren, Ryan, Iris, Henry Kevin; his marvelous niece, Courtney Wolfe, her husband Jon and their daughter Mackenzie; his cousins, Mother Dolores Hart; Vanessa Kincaid Lopez , her husband Freddy Lopez, their daughters, Amelia and Gigi and kindhearted, beloved family friends, Heather Savage and Kevin Morrison. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his siblings, Jack Hicks and Marilyn Carmody.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1-3pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a celebration of his life at 3pm where family and friends will gather to share memories and pay tribute to a truly remarkable man.

The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or that individuals consider giving blood, in the spirit of Kevin's 40 years of selfless donations.
