PORT EWEN – Kimberly Ann Branda, 31, a resident of Port Ewen since 2008, formerly of Dutchess County, died on Thursday, November 24 2011.

Born in Carmel, NY on August 4, 1980, she was the daughter of Bruce N. Branda and Sharon L. Hall Branda. Raised in Hopewell Junction, NY, Kimberly enjoyed playing sports, especially soccer. In 1998, she graduated from John Jay High School and later went on to attend Marist College, graduating with honors with a B.S. in Accounting in 2003. For seven years, she worked for Sickler, Torchia, Allen & Churchill CPAs in Lake Katrine.

Kimberly is survived by her mother, Sharon Branda of Poughquag, NY; her father & stepmother, Bruce Branda and Emma Lind-Branda of Cranbury, NJ; her maternal grandmother, Gertrude Hall of Winter Springs, FL; her brothers, Bruce Branda & his wife Stacy of Highland, NY and Matt Branda & his wife Beth of San Diego, CA; her niece, Rachel; her half-brother, Nicholas of Mahopac, NY; and also many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and other family members and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Hopewell Reformed Church, 143 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction. Inurnment will follow at St. Denis Cemetery.
