Obituary

EAST FISHKILL - Kiyotaka Saji, PhD, 82, died on July 23, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Medial Center following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Tokyo, Japan on May 30, 1942, he was the son of Seima Saji and Misao Kawamura. Dr. Saji was employed as a Statistician/Engineer for IBM.

Dr. Saji enjoyed playing tennis, mahjong and card games. He loved traveling all over the world, visiting 86 countries and 44 National Parks in the United States. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Kiyotaka is survived by his wife, Kyong (Choe) Saji; his son Ken Saji and his wife Cheryl; his stepdaughters Theresa, Sabrina and Crystal Luginbuhl; his grandchildren, Austin, Addison and Jackson; and his sister Akemi Marshall.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 3, from 10am-12pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service at 12pm.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
