STORMVILLE – Krista Ashley Kellogg, 27, passed away on December 21, 2020 at home. Krista was born March 18, 1993 in Danbury, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Gregory Kellogg and Kristine (Tina) Von Essen – Kellogg.

Krista was a 2011 graduate of John Jay Senior High School where she excelled in field hockey and lacrosse. Krista enjoyed riding dirt bikes, surfing, snowboarding and being at the beach.

In addition to her parents, Krista is survived by her grandparents, William and Judy Von Essen, and Emery and Nancy Kellogg; her aunts and uncles, William and Suzan Von Essen, Gary and Dana Johnson, Donna and Michael Woods, Dan and Kelly Woolley, Roger and Joan Trafton; her cousins, Jake, Mikie, Tyler, Sara, Michaela, Jake and Jules; and, her furry friends, Molly, Frankie and Cali.

Krista was a kind soul. As such, the family asks that you not be judgmental, show love and compassion and be kind. Everyone we know is fighting their own battle.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, New York. There will be a funeral service at 4 p.m.
