Kyle Carney Hopkinson, 34, of Poughkeepsie, NY recently living in Scottsville, Kentucky died from injuries sustained in an automobile crash on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

Kyle was born on August 6, 1988 to Frances Hopkinson and Edward Hopkinson. He was a delightful child who grew up to enjoy an adventurous life. He traveled to Tennessee and Kentucky where he lived a simple, happy life with his girlfriend, Danielle Schrack and their dog Gizzy.

He was a welder, mechanic, landscaper, and a handyman. He loved tinkering with things.

Left behind are his mother, Frances Hopkinson and his stepfather Michael Maresca of Poughkeepsie; his brother Randy Hopkinson of Poughkeepsie, NY; his sister Sara Hopkinson and her son Devin of Fishkill, NY. In addition, his sister Kate Maresca of Valatie, NY and his sister Emily Maresca Kipp, her husband Garrett Kipp and their daughter Rosie of Valatie, NY. As well as his daughters of the heart, Haley and Alexis. He is also survived by his grandmother, Patricia Hopkinson of Pleasant Valley, 3 Aunts, 6 uncles and 12 cousins.

He was predeceased by his father Edward Hopkinson, Grandfather Henry Hopkinson, Grandmother Jean Montagno, Grandfather Vincent Montagno, Aunt Kathryn Hopkinson Salani and Uncle Anthony TR Ranalli.

Visitation will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY on Monday, April 3rd from 4-8pm. At 7:30pm, a memorial service will begin followed by sharing of memories by family and friends. Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 4th at 11 am at Clove Cemetery.
