Lara Ann Acampora, a Poughkeepsie resident since 2019, formerly of Beacon, Carmel, and Brooklyn, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 24, 2023. She was 54.

Daughter of the late Erwin and Mary (Hawksby) Strassberg, she was born in Brooklyn on January 23, 1969.

On October 15, 1995, she married Pasquale Acampora in Tarrytown, NY. Lara was predeceased by Pasquale on October 5, 2005.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her brother, Stevan Strassberg, in 2021.

Lara is survived by two daughters, Mia and Emmanuelle.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30pm on Friday, May 5 at Salem Tabernacle, 7 Delavan Avenue, Beacon, NY.
