Garrison- Laraine Joan Paggiotta a resident of Garrison, NY passed away at home on April 23, 2022. She was 81.

Laraine was born to Alvin and Ruth (King) Sydlo on February 4, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York. She was the younger sister of Barbara.

Laraine enjoyed playing city sports and games. She and Barbara spent many summers going to Hazelton, Pennsylvania visiting relatives. After graduating, she worked with insurance companies as a typist and office coordinator. She was transferred to Miami, Florida for work and there she met a friend who would later introduce her to the love of her life, Lou Paggiotta. Lou and Lori (as he called her) were married November 12, 1977.

Lori owned and operated along with Lou the Plant Depot in Fishkill, NY. They worked side by side, seven days a week, forty-eight weeks a year. To say they were hard workers is an understatement. She also believed and put into practice her husband's mantra that to be successful, you had to work hard. She loved doing word puzzles, scratch offs, and sunbathing in their beautifully landscaped grounds. She enjoyed sending funny jokes and telling amusing stories to friends and family. She said what was on her mind and she wore her heart on her sleeve.

Lori and Lou were deeply in love and always together. She was a devoted wife, amazing friend, cousin and a fun-loving Aunt to her niece and nephews. They adored her and she cherished them. She was also a great boss - she and Lou were extremely generous, and their employees thought of them as family. Family was everything to Lori.

Lori is survived by her sister Barbara Cunningham of Flemington, NJ, her sister-in-law Roseann Paggiotta and her partner Robert, cousins Dominick and Barbara D'Anna, Frank and Joanne Branca and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Lou who passed away on January 9, 2022, her godson and nephew Kevin on August 19, 2014, her mother Ruth on August 28, 2014 and her father, Alvin on June 5, 1971.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday April 27, 2022, from 4pm to 7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 28, 2022, at 10am at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair Street, Cold Spring followed by interment at Cold Spring Cemetery.
