Laura Alexander-Clark passed peacefully on February 10, 2023 at the age of 56.

A graduate of the police academy, she served the city of Mount Vernon from January 1995 until her retirement in January 2015. In her younger years, she enjoyed skiing and jogging. She loved spending time with her large family and even larger family of animals. Throughout her life, Laura loved cooking, hot sauce, playing video games, and the smell of the beach.

She never once lost her sense of humor, something that is already greatly missed.

Laura is survived by her husband, Joseph; daughters Danielle (Justin), Catherine (Matthew), and Heather (Brian); grandson, Ezra; sister, Maryanne; brother, Richard; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and her beloved cat, Stache.

She is predeceased by her mother, Diane; father, Ralph; and many aunts and uncles.

Calling hours will be held at McHoul Funeral Home, 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY, on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 2 to 6 p.m. with a service at 5:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Dutchess County SPCA.
