Hopewell Junction- Laura Marie Costanzo, a resident of Hopewell Junction, NY since 1968, passed away on January 8, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 86.

Laura was born in the Bronx, NY on October 13, 1936, the daughter of the late Gaetano and Anna (Vitiello) Mazzella. Her family moved to Staten Island where at the age of 6 she met a young boy, Victor Costanzo, who on June 30, 1956 at St. Patrick's Church in Richmondtown, Staten Island, she married and began raising a family.

After moving to Hopewell Junction and raising a family, Laura went to work for the Wappingers Central School District where she was a school monitor.

She enjoyed gardening, deep-sea fishing and taking care of her home and family.

Laura is survived by her husband Victor, her sons and their wives Samuel and Patricia Costanzo, and Gary and Joni Sue Costanzo; her grandchildren Nicholas and his wife Christina, Anthony and his fiancé Elyse, and Dylan; her siblings, Attilio Mazzella, Silvio Mazzella, Paula Faucher and Edwina Burns; along with many nieces and nephews.

Laura is predeceased by her sister Katherine Raia, and brothers Victor and Anthony Mazzella.

Calling hours will be Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 4pm-8pm at McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction, NY. Interment to follow at St. Denis Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Laura's name to the American Cancer Society.
