Laurel Jane Wiley, 80, a lifelong Beacon resident, died at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh on Friday, July 20, 2012.
Born in Beacon on January 21, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Elizabeth J. Hunt Smith. On July 26, 1953, she married George R. Wiley in Beacon. Laurel was predeceased in death by her husband on April 4, 1996.
Survivors include her son, Gregory Wiley and his wife Kathleen of Wappingers Falls; her grandsons, Joseph and Adam Wiley of Wappingers Falls; her sister, Marion Thomas and her husband Alfred of Glenham; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 22 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Funeral Service will begin at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 23 at the First Presbyterian Church of Beacon, 50 Liberty Street, Beacon. Pastor Ben Larson-Wolbrink will officiate. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
