White Plains – Laurie Gioja, age 62, passed away at home on March 8, 2022. She was born in Queens, NY on June 17, 1959 to parents Mario and Eleanor (Gregorek) Gioja, who survive her at home. She was a resident of Vermont for about ten years before making her home in White Plains, NY.

Laurie was a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, NY. She was very artistic and creative, and loved to make jewelry and crochet scarves for her loved ones to wear. She also did silk design work and was very proud and excited to see one of her designs in a department store while shopping one day! Besides being creative, she also loved to go fishing with her significant other Terry.

Besides her parents Mario and Eleanor, Laurie is survived by her loving partner Terry Hairston; her sister Lynne Albertson (Lee Sullivan); her niece Emily Albertson; and her nephew Daniel Albertson.

A memorial service will take place on Wednesday March 16th at 12pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction, NY.
