Obituary

Lawrence A. Baker, 66, a lifelong area resident, died on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at his home.
Born in Poughkeepsie on February 12, 1946, he was the son of Noll and Evelyn Dorn Baker. He proudly served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was employed as a butcher for A&P in Mount Kisco.
L.B. enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a life member of the Whortlekill Rod and Gun Club where he also served on the Board of Directors. He loved teaching others how to shoot bows and sight guns. He always volunteered with the children's programs helping to instill an interest in hunting and fishing.
L.B. is survived by his daughter, Melissa Baker; and many friends.
A celebration of L.B.'s life will be held on Saturday at 2pm at the Whortlekill Rod and Gun Club, 540 Route 376, Hopewell Junction. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. For online condolences, please visit L.B.'s Book of Memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com.
