Lawrence J. Bergere, 75, an area resident for 35 years, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 25, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
Born in the Bronx on December 25, 1934, he was the son of Les and Prudence Edgar Bergere. He proudly served our country in the US Marines Corps. Larry was the owner and operator of A Perfect Ten and Fantasy Nails in Wappingers Falls for many years. He was currently employed as a Sales Representative for Raymour and Flanigan, was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants and he loved his pets.
On November 25, 1981, Larry married Nancy Dellamarco who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughter, Sophia; his father-in-law, Eugene Dellamarco and his wife Catherine of Newburgh; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, John and Claudia Dellamarco of Austin, TX, Anthony and Doreen Dellamarco of Cleveland, OH and Jeanne Dellamarco and Tom Lyman of North Hero, VT and William Wanamaker; and his niece, Giada Dellamarco of Austin, TX.
He will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving father, husband and friend.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction with military honors.
