Lawrence Giordano, 92, a resident of Delray Beach, FL and formerly of Yonkers, died on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at his brother's home in Poughquag.
Born in Yonkers on September 22, 1921, he was the son of the late Nicolangelo and Giovannina Giordano. He proudly served our country in the US Army and had been employed as an accounts manager for Curry Chevrolet in Scarsdale and State Tire in Yonkers. He was a member of AMVETS, Armando A. Rauso Post 40 in Yonkers.
Lawrence was predeceased by his wife Eleanor (Scheldone); his brothers, Michael and Morris Giordano; and his sisters, Catherine Pantaleo, Nancy Rossi and Louise Vitiello. He is survived by his brother, Nicholas Giordano of Poughquag; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by military honors. Entombment will be in Ferncliff Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
