Lawrence N. Daley, Jr., a resident of Wappingers Falls and formerly of Ossining, died on Monday, February 1, 2016 at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He was 63.
Son of the late Lawrence N. and Anna (Dobbins) Daley, he was born in Warren, OH on November 23, 1952.
Larry was the proud owner of five Ford Mustangs. He was also an avid NY Yankees fan, enjoyed poetry, and Superman fanatic. Above all else, he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as “Deeda”.
He worked in the facilities maintenance field for more than 30 years, and was the former Assistant Superintendent at Claremont Gardens in Ossining.
On January 13, 1973, he married Donna Bella at St. Ann’s Church in Ossining. Mrs. Daley survives at home in Wappingers Falls
Larry is also survived by his son, Lawrence N. Daley, III & his wife Heather of Fishkill; his son, Neal Daley & his wife Rachel of Poughkeepsie; his son, Nicholas Daley of Watertown; his grandchildren, Sean, Megan, and Deanna; his brother, Richard Kover of Washington; his brother, Robert Kover & his wife Eileen of Georgia; his brother, Edwin Daley & his wife Karen of Virginia; his sister, Judith Panzera & her husband David of Illinois; his sister, Lanette Siford & her husband Kenneth of Ohio; his brother, Darrell Daley & his wife Donna of Illinois; his mother-in-law, Florence Bella of Ossining; sister-in-law, Elaine Paulson & her husband Stephen of Cortlandt Manor; brother-in-law, Paul Bella of New York; also many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.
He is also survived by his faithful and loving dog, Zoe.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 4 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 5 at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction. Interment will follow at St. Denis Cemetery.
