Obituary

Leo Martin Feury, known as "Lucky Leo", passed away on April 10, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Leo married the love of his life, Anne Marie Pollack, on June 13, 1964. They would have celebrated their 60th anniversary this year.

Leo was born in Yonkers, New York on December 15, 1942. He attended grade school and high school in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.

He retired from the Pearl River School District after 35 years. After his retirement, he went on to work for the YMCA where he helped maintain the summer camp and events.

For many years, he enjoyed making memories in his summer home at the Jersey Shore with family and friends. Later on in his life, he enjoyed being a snowbird during the winter months in Florida and from there, he made many wonderful friends that became family. He also had a love for hunting, fishing and playing golf in his free time.
From the start of their lives, Leo was actively involved and always supported his grandchildren. Whether it be teaching them to drive or play a sport, he was always there. As his family grew, he loved spending as much time as he could surrounded by his loving great-grandchildren, playing jokes, watching a movie and handing out Tootsie Roll lollipops.

Leo was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Martin Feury; his sister, Faith and brother-in-law, Chick Ricci.

In addition to his wife, Leo is survived by his three children: his daughters, Margaret and her husband Wayne, and Christine and her husband George, and his son Kevin and his wife Terri. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, George Jr., Matthew, Abigail and her husband Austin, Rebecca and her husband Alex, Kevin Jr., Deirdre, Tiffany, and Sydney and her husband Thomas. Leo is also survived by his ten great-grandchildren, KJ, Stella, Bella, Alex, Hudson, Andre, Jerry, Bianca, Kaiden and Theodore. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Dennis and his wife Cher; his niece, Adrieanne and husband Matthew; his brother-in-law, Carl, his wife Marianne and son John; and his nephews, Anthony and Greg.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.
