Obituary

Leo Forest Brace, Sr., 76, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 7 years and formerly of Mount Kisco, died peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Born in Huntington, VT on September 26, 1934, he was the youngest of nine children of Forest and Hazel Liberty Brace. He proudly served our country in the US National Guard for eight years and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mount Kisco. He was a Teamster with Local #456 working for Grand Union in Mount Kisco for almost 40 years until his retirement in 1994.
On September 16, 1956 at the United Methodist Church in Mount Kisco, Leo married Roberta Roberts who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Wendy Eisenhauer and husband Richard of Hopewell Junction, Leo Brace Jr. and wife Ramesh of Stamford, CT, Richard Brace and wife Nancy of Brewster, Kenneth Brace of Carmel, Russell Brace and wife Christine of Brewster and Thomas Brace and wife Shannon of Holmes; his grandchildren, Richard and Nicole Eisenhauer Jr., Cyndee Eisenhauer, Peter Saretto Jr., Leo III, Shannon, Danielle, Samantha, Stephen, Lainie and Khurram, Richard Jr., Christopher, Dana, Jennifer, Robert, Justine, Morgan, Ryan, Brittany, Amanda and Brian, Thomas Jr., Megan, Savannah and Briannah; his great-grandchildren, Madison, Michele, Cristian, Jasmine, Christopher, Jennah, Zachariah, Jordin, Diego, Sierra and Mia; his brother Paul Brace of Huntington, VT; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11 am at the funeral home followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery with military honors.
