Leslie Thomas Jackson, 85, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1978 and previously of Mamaroneck, died on February 25, 2021.
Born on April 28, 1935 in Yonkers, Leslie was the son of Robert and Anne (Kirkbride) Jackson.
Leslie proudly served our country in the United States Army and the United States Coast Guard Reserves. He was an elevator mechanic at Otis Elevator and previously at Westinghouse Elevator and was president of the local 138 for many years. He was an active member and deacon of Hopewell Reformed Church.
On July 15, 1961 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Larchmont, Leslie married the love of his life, Anne Schumacher, who predeceased him on April 20, 2016
Leslie is also survived by his children, Deborah Porco and her husband Dom of Wappingers Falls, Bonnie Luhrs of Hopewell Junction, Richard Jackson and his wife Tracy of Goshen, David Jackson and his wife Kiesha of Hopewell Junction and Barbara Lenz and her husband Brian of Lagrangeville; his grandchildren, Amanda Porco and her wife Melissa, Sarah Maley and her husband Joshua, Christina Clermont and her husband Eric, Steven Luhrs and his wife Jennifer, Brian Luhrs, Mitchell Luhrs, Chad Perez, Karissa Perez, Ryan Jackson and his wife Parker, Dylan Jackson and his wife Stephanie, Shannan Jackson, Logan Jackson, Victoria Lenz and Tyler Lenz; his great grandchildren, Annalise, Mason, Oliver, Grayson, Amelia, Jayce, Luca, Charlotte, Jace, Jackson, Reece, McKenna, and Raelynn. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter, Katherine Perez; his son-in-law, Joachim Luhrs; and his sisters, Janet Robinson and Audrey Jackson.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be Friday at 11am at Hopewell Reformed Church, 143 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at Hopewell Cemetery.
