Lillian R. Camacho entered into rest on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation in Beacon, New York, surrounded by her loving family. She was 86.
Daughter of the late Marcos Rosado Corchado and Jacinta Medina Bisbal, she was born December 23, 1932 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. As a child she moved to Manhattan with her family. In December of 1950, she married the love of her life George L. Camacho, who predeceased her. She moved to Hopewell Junction, NY and had been a Dutchess County resident of the past 23 years and parishioner of St. Denis Church.
She is also survived by her five children, George L. Camacho, Jr. and his wife Rosemary, Derwin L. Camacho, Alexander Camacho, Albert Camacho, Lourdes Velasquez and her husband Edgar, and Larry Camacho; and her grandchildren, George and his wife Maria, Rosemarie and her husband Brett Misenar, Lee, Nicole, Erik, and his wife Theresa, Leilani, Chaka, and Tanisha; and her great grandchildren Sean, Ryan, Kevin, Kyle, Zachary, Brandon Lee, Sophia, Brianna, Eric Anthony, and Tyler. She was also a great great-grandmother. She is also survived by a sister Grace Rosado. Lillian was also predeceased by her sister, Carmen Montalvo.
Lillian enjoyed being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and having her family around her. She enjoyed dancing, arts and crafts. She also enjoyed sewing and creating beautiful outfits for herself for casual and/or special occasions.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, New York. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in Saint Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
