FISHKILL - Lillian "Dolly" Dunn, a resident of Fishkill since 1986, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. She was 97 years old.

Dolly was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on January 16, 1928 to Thomas E. and Rose E. (Lewis) Gleason. She graduated from FDR High School in Hyde Park, Class of 1946. She received her X-ray Certification from the School for Physicians Aide in New York City. Dolly worked for many years as an X-ray Technician for Putnam Hospital, Danbury Hospital and Sharon Hospital.

On May 17, 1953, she married the love of her life, Peter Dunn, at St. Mary's Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. Peter predeceased her in 2014 after 60 years of marriage.

Dolly was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, NY. She was a local Girl Scout Leader for over 17 years, and worked with the Brownies, Cadets and Seniors. She was the recipient of the Thanks Badge. Dolly served on the Board of Directors at Round Tree Villas in Myrtle Beach, SC. She enjoyed doing crafts and had a talent for painting.

Dolly is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Barrett and her husband, Richard of Homer, AK; her grandson, Kyle Barrett and his wife, Kayla of Hyde Park; her granddaughter, Amy Sookraj and her husband, Jerome, of Homer, AK; her great-grandchildren, Lily and Tony Sookraj; her friend and caretaker, Fabiana Popo Totten; her special cousin, Tommy Rogers; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dolly was predeceased by her sister, Betty Allen Clark and her brother, Thomas Gleason, Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 3pm-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 10am at St, Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
