LAGRANGEVILLE – Linda M. Tracy, 78, was peacefully reunited with her husband, William Tracy, on March 29, 2017 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with COPD.
Born in New York City on April 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Celia (Guttenplan) Gaba. She had lived in Mount Vernon before moving to LaGrangeville 48 years ago. Linda and William were married on August 24, 1958. Linda enjoyed her career for many years as a chef at IBM in East Fishkill and Vassar Brothers Medical Center. During her retirement, she worked part time as a clerk at the Hopewell Antique Center.
Her family will always remember her as the glue that held them all together. They will especially miss her sound advice and warm hugs. Linda, an avid NY Yankees fan, also loved Mickey Mouse.
She is survived by her children, Sherryl Devine and her husband Dennis of Middleburg, FL, Bonnie Tracy and her fiancé Peter Salotto of Wingdale, and Ronda DeVido and her husband Dean of Beacon; her grandchildren, Christopher Lee, Tracie Lee, Ashleigh Devine, Cynthia Duscio, Gary Shaw, Dawn DeVido, and Dean DeVido, Jr.; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-6 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by interment at Hopewell Cemetery.
