Odessa, Florida – Linda A. Winterberg, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital / Seasons Hospice in Tampa, FL. She was 77.
Daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Coons) Price, she was born in Poughkeepsie on April 2, 1943. Linda 1st worked at IBM prior to raising her 4 boys. She then worked at Schwartz's Men's & Women's Clothing and finally as Field Secretary in Administration for Pizzagalli Construction in Poughkeepsie, NY. She lived most of her life in Chelsea, NY before retiring to New Bern, NC and finally moving to Clearwater / Odessa, FL with her husband in 2016 to live with her sons.
Linda was a parishioner of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Chelsea. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Chelsea Fire Department and a member of the Red Hat Society in New Bern, NC. Linda enjoyed her cats and feeding the geese, ducks and many beautiful varieties of birds in North Carolina. She loved bowling, living, laughing and spending time with her family & friends, especially her grandchildren.
On July 7, 1962, Linda married the love of her life, James Winterberg, who survives at home.
In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her sons, Scott (Leslie) of Odessa, FL; James (Joann) of Clearwater, FL; Jeffrey (Victoria) of Hopewell Jct., NY; and Kurt (Stacie) of Beacon, NY; her grandchildren – Collin, Zachary, Jackson, Amanda, Alyssa, and Jenna Marie; her brother Robert (Colleen) of Macedon, NY; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & life-long friends.
A service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice.
