Linda Ann Winters, 60, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1988 and formerly of Yonkers, died on Friday, September 30, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Brooklyn on June 12, 1951, she was the daughter of Martin Johnsen of Bradenton, FL and the late Gloria Dunn Johnsen. Linda had been employed as a Supervisor for Verizon in White Plains.
On March 14, 1987 in Pleasantville, Linda married Larry Winters who survives at home. She is also survived by her children, Stephanie Harned and her husband Brad of Yorktown, Karen Wiacek and her husband Brian of Poughkeepsie, Michael Winters of Hopewell Junction and Michelle Winters of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, Nickolas, Matthew, Mikayla and Thomas; her sisters, Carol Leon of Garrison and Wendy Zohn of Scarsdale; her brother, John Johnsen of Dallas, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday at 11 am at the funeral home followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
